  • Nursery Admissions 2024

Thu 18 Apr 2024 Mr John Howe

It has come to my attention that some of the local primary schools have already sent offer letters out for Nursery places in September 2024 and you may be concerned that you have not heard anything from Seaburn Dene.

I am writing to reassure you that we will be emailing all parents on Monday morning with offer letters as we are following the Sunderland City Council admission guidelines, which states that offers should not be sent out until the week beginning 22nd April 2024.

As a school, we believe it is important to work in partnership with all schools on this matter, as it is a very anxious time for parents and carers, many of whom are sending their children to school for the first time.

Therefore we support the official position in Sunderland that ALL parents should be informed at the same time.

We look forward to starting this journey with you on Monday.

    Mr John Howe

  • Community Chest Support

Wed 17 Apr 2024 Mr John Howe

Our OPAL journey continues this term with more exciting plans for further development this term. This project was supported - in part - by a community chest grant of £2,375 from Sunderland City Council's North Area Committee. The funding will allow us to continue the development of our outdoor play provision for all our children/families - including "stay and play" sessions, beyond the school day - where children will be encouraged to play thereby improving their mental and physical health and wellbeing. Thank you!

  • Help Needed

    Mon 08 Apr 2024

    *Your help is needed!*

Tesco are supporting Seaburn Dene and offering funds to continue to develop our outdoor play areas for children from Nursery to Yr 6. As you will agree, this is an amazing opportunity for our pupils.

The more votes our school receives, the more funds we will be offered by Tesco.

Please support us by asking for blue tokens when you pay for your shopping at Tesco.

These blue tokens then need to be placed in the Seaburn Dene Primary column of the drop box by the main entrance as you are leaving Tesco.

Voting will continue throughout April, May until June 30.

Blue tokens are available at all Tesco stores, but the voting drop boxes (at the moment) is at the main store on Newcastle Road.

If you do not visit any of these stores, please hand your blue tokens into the office. If you could also spread the word among friends and family - this would make a huge difference.

    Happy shopping and supporting!

    Mr Howe.
