World Book Day 17
Following a year of Charles Dickens we have been exploring other classic children's books. On World Book Day we dressed up as a character from a book. There were many Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderlands and Red Riding Hoods. Miss Baker in the main school office was certainly a wolf in granny's clothing-we hardly recognised her!
In the afternoon parents, grandparents and children were awarded certificates for reading every night and once during the weekend between two set dates.
Later that evening, children returned to school for our third Stories at Bedtime. And of course Robbie, the school's vey own celebrity reading dog, stole the show by looking gorgeous, behaving beautifully and bringing his very own Mary Poppins!
