  • News in brief

    Macmillan

    We raised a fantastic £215.00 from our Macmillan Cancer Big Coffee Morning in school. Thank you everyone who contributed.

     

    Football results

    Well done to our Y5/6 Football Team, who have reached the final of the Leadgate Eden Colliery Cup following 3-1 win over St Joseph's Birtley, a 2-1 win over St Patrick's, Langley Moor and a 2-0 win over last year's runners-up Dame Dorothy, 2-0. We play in the final at Easington Lane, next Tuesday.

     

    Attendance Champs

    Attendance winners this week were Y4 on 99.5%, with Y2 in second place on 98.3%. Overall attendance was 93.6%. In Early Years, another 100% week for our fantastic Nursery.

  • Everybody Worries

    Our Assembly for World Mental Health Day was inspired by John Burgerman's Everybody Worries, written about how children can still worry about the Coronavirus.

    At the end of the video is a tutorial on creating a cartoon character, inspired by his book.
    I suggested that any child who wanted to have a go, could bring their cartoons to me by Friday. I will pick one at random, with a prize out of the box in my office.

  • Harvest Festival Appeal

    Once again, the school will be collecting food items for Harvest Festival this year in support of Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen.
    Guardians and carers can donate food items by sending them into school, where they will be collected and taken to the hall, ready for harvest festival next Thursday.
    Suggested items: tinned soups, fish, meat, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, biscuits, jams, cereal, tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc.
    Please note that the last day for donating Harvest Festival food items next Thursday (20th October.)
    We would like to thank all families in advance for your generosity.

  • Macmillan Fundraising

    Thanks to everyone for their generous donations of cakes to our Friday Cake Sale - raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Care. We were inundated and the children were able to enjoy fundraising with some delicious cakes. Here are Yr 5 and Yr 2.
