Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
This year we are launching the Seaburn Dene Eighty. This is a list of 80 experiences/curriculum enhancements that we believe all children should have the opportunity to experience during their time with us at Seaburn Dene.
Please take the time out to talk to your child about what they have experienced so far in our school, in previous years.
Your child's class teacher will be taking the time out to talk about experiences in previous years or what might be coming up and our children will have the responsibility of ticking off experiences, each year, in class.
Once a year, your class teacher will share the steps to Eighty - so you can see just what the children have experienced to date.
Given the current news on school closures due to RAAC safety issues - including a handful in the North East, we want to confirm that Seaburn Dene is not affected and will be reopening as normal to children on Tuesday 5th September.
Earlier in the year the Council carried out an exercise to identify any schools for which it is responsible for that may contain RAAC. That exercise indicated that there was NO presence of RAAC in any of its Local Authority Maintained schools in Sunderland.
