What Parents Say About Us

We  continue to consult parents on a range of important issues. Consultation can happen informally, on the playground, or formally through a written survey. Our web based survey this year forms an important part of how we develop and improve as a school.

The views of parents and carers help us offer the best possible service, and in helping to shape the future direction of the school and providing the very best opportunities for all the children at Seaburn Dene.

Each document is in PDF format, and can be downloaded by clicking on the name of the survey.

Parent Survey 2023 - feedback

“The school’s care of the kids, inclusive of all, is like a big family.Through the hard work of teachers, it strives to bring children of all levels on, increasing their confidence. All the teachers are friendly and approachable.”

“Seaburn Dene promotes a very holistic, child centred approach to learning. The school promotes each child’s individuality. Care and compassion. Outdoor learning. Fun learning. Friendly approach. Child focused.“

“The school is warm, caring and encouraging. It is a friendly school which cares about all their pupils.”

“The school has given my child the confidence and skills to achieve in life.”

“Such a lovely school with a community feel. I love how it focuses on not just the academic side but provides a good, well rounded education with a focus on being healthy and being outdoors. I love how almost everyone knows each other and how the headteacher knows all of the children’s names. So glad I picked Seaburn Dene for my daughter.”

“There is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and approachable teachers. My daughter has become so much more confident and developed loads since starting. We are so happy with her development, especially her reading and writing.”

“Staff care about family dynamics and are 100% supportive without judgement. Being a small school, it is possible for all teachers to get to know all of the pupils well through their time in school. The admin team is the friendliest, most understanding and supportive that I could ever ask. The kids build fantastic rapport with support staff such as the caretaker, supervision staff, kitchen staff, teaching assistants and learning support; they have a full and positive interaction across all roles - nothing is hidden away.”

“Seaburn Dene is a small community school built on respect. Everyone at the school is friendly, all staff/pupils seem to know one another. I love it, and it’s been an amazing place for my two children.”

“The school continues to have a community or family feel - the teachers know pupils across year groups and there is a cohesive close knit atmosphere. The choice of after school clubs this year has been varied and it's good the kids are having opportunities to try different things.”

“Since joining in January, we’ve been made to feel nothing but welcome. Totally different experience to the other school we were part of, I’m just sad we weren’t with you from nursery. Loved our first experience of sports day.”

“They get parents involved with events that they do. There is a sense of community, lovely atmosphere, teachers know everyone, great clubs.”
