FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to have older children at Seaburn Dene? No — this event is open to any local family with a 2–3 year old.
My child is nearly 2, can we still come? Yes, as long as they're comfortable in a play setting with other children. Get in touch if you're unsure.
Will my child get messy? Yes! Please dress them in clothes that can get paint and water on them. We'll have aprons available.
Do I need to stay with my child? Yes, parents or carers stay for the whole session. This is stay-and-play, not drop-off.
What if it's raining? Our experienced staff can always advise on the day, whether we need to make adjustments.
Will there be snacks? We'll have a small snack for the children and tea/coffee for the grown-ups. Please let us know about any allergies when you book.
Is there parking? There is on street parking nearby. Access is via the EYFS/KS1 gate on Torver Crescent.
What happens next? Nothing — come along, enjoy the morning, and we'll follow up afterwards with info about our Nursery and Reception if you'd like it.

“Such a lovely school with a community feel. I love how it focuses on not just the academic side but provides a good, well rounded education with a focus on being healthy and being outdoors.
“I love how almost everyone knows each other and how the headteacher knows all the children’s names. So glad I picked Seaburn Dene for my daughter.”
"We chose the school on the recommendation of friends and the friendly staff and pupils have helped our daughter settle in."
"We think it is a great school. We admire the teaching staff for their skill, care and patience."

“Since joining in January, we’ve been made to feel nothing but welcome. Totally different experience to the other school we were part of, I’m just sad we weren’t with you from nursery. Loved our first experience of sports day.”

"Seaburn Dene wasn't our first choice - but it couldn't have turned out any better. Lovely teachers, great facilities, our son has come on fantastically. The class sizes are fab so the kids get lots of attention. Fab school."

“Staff care about family dynamics and are 100% supportive without judgement. Being a small school, it is possible for all teachers to get to know all the pupils well through their time in school. The kids build a fantastic rapport with all the staff; they have full and positive interaction across all roles - nothing is hidden away.”
