Two primary pupils from Seaburn Dene Primary School enjoyed a memorable afternoon at Sunderland’s City Hall after being selected to serve as Inclusion Ambassadors at a city-wide event.
Luke and Luke joined children from schools across Sunderland for a special meeting in the Council Chamber, where they spoke confidently, took part in discussions, and embraced their ambassador roles with real pride. As Seaburn Dene’s first ever Inclusion Ambassadors, they have set a strong example for future pupils.
The event included several highlights: both boys received official ambassador badges and goodie bags, and were even invited to sit in the Mayor’s chair, giving them a unique insight into civic life.
Headteacher John Howe praised their achievement, saying: “Luke and Luke represented our school with maturity, confidence and kindness. They showed exactly what it means to be part of Seaburn Dene, and we are incredibly proud of the example they have set.”
The school says it looks forward to seeing the positive contributions the boys will continue to make in their new roles.
