To commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day, our children—and some very special guests—came together to honour this historic occasion with creativity, curiosity, and community spirit.
Pupils worked hard to make beautiful bunting, which was gifted to residents in local sheltered accommodation to help spread a little joy and remembrance. In classrooms, the children explored wartime recipes, listened to 1940s music, and learned more about the significance of Victory in Europe Day through stories, artefacts, and shared memories.
It was a day full of reflection and celebration—linking generations and helping our children understand the resilience and unity shown during the Second World War.
Lest we forget.
