Choosing a school is personal. You have questions specific to your child, your family, your situation. A big group open morning doesn't always give you space to ask them.
That's why I offer private tours for prospective parents. It's just you, me and your child - a proper walk around the school while lessons are happening and a conversation to what matters to you.
How long? 30-45 minutes
When: Flexible - choose a time that suits you.
For: Any parent considering Seaburn Dene for their child.
Where: Seaburn Dene Primary School, Torver Crescent, Seaburn, SR6 8LG.
Book a time: (0191 563 4100), email: admin@seaburndeneprimary.co.uk.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I have to have already applied? No. Most parents visit before they apply - that's exactly what these tours are for.
Can I bring my child? Yes, please do. It helps enormously for them to see the school too.
How is this different from an Open Morning ? Open mornings are a great way to see the school in full flow with other families. A personal tour gives you my undivided attention and time to discuss your child specifically.
What if my child has additional needs? A personal tour is ideal for this. We'll have time to discuss your child's needs in detail and I can show you the specific provision we have in place.
Can I come outside school hours? Yes - I offer some before-school and after-school slots for working parents. Just let me know what works.
Is there any obligation? None at all. This is just a chance to see the school and ask your questions.
Is there parking available? Yes, there is parking available on-site/nearby street parking.

“Such a lovely school with a community feel. I love how it focuses on not just the academic side but provides a good, well rounded education with a focus on being healthy and being outdoors.
“I love how almost everyone knows each other and how the headteacher knows all the children’s names. So glad I picked Seaburn Dene for my daughter.”
"We chose the school on the recommendation of friends and the friendly staff and pupils have helped our daughter settle in."
"We think it is a great school. We admire the teaching staff for their skill, care and patience."

“Since joining in January, we’ve been made to feel nothing but welcome. Totally different experience to the other school we were part of, I’m just sad we weren’t with you from nursery. Loved our first experience of sports day.”

"Seaburn Dene wasn't our first choice - but it couldn't have turned out any better. Lovely teachers, great facilities, our son has come on fantastically. The class sizes are fab so the kids get lots of attention. Fab school."

“Staff care about family dynamics and are 100% supportive without judgement. Being a small school, it is possible for all teachers to get to know all the pupils well through their time in school. The kids build a fantastic rapport with all the staff; they have full and positive interaction across all roles - nothing is hidden away.”
