At Seaburn Dene Primary School, our WOW Travel Tracker Ambassadors, selected from across the school, play an important role in promoting active, safe and sustainable travel within our school community. They encourage pupils to walk, wheel, cycle or scoot to school as part of our commitment to improving health, reducing congestion, and supporting a greener environment.
The Travel Tracker Ambassadors help to:
Lead and record our daily WOW Travel Tracker activity
Encourage classes to achieve monthly badges for active travel
Promote special events and challenges throughout the school year
Celebrate active travel achievements and share updates in assemblies
Raise awareness of road safety and sustainable travel choices
Support the planning of whole-school travel initiatives and competitions
The ambassadors meet regularly to plan new ideas, review progress and identify ways to increase participation across all year groups. They also help create engaging displays and communicate key messages about active travel around school.
Through their leadership, enthusiasm and commitment, our WOW Travel Tracker Ambassadors inspire the whole school to make healthier and more environmentally friendly travel choices every day.
