Y7 Awards Celebration at Whitburn

We are so proud to share the fantastic achievements of our Year 7 students at Whitburn’s recent awards event

Despite only seven students from Seaburn Dene being in a year group of 210, they truly stood out!

Jessica, Ava, and Tompkin confidently took to the stage to present their work to a packed hall of parents, teachers, and fellow students. Jessica presented on Geography, Tompkin on Maths, and Ava on PSHE.

Our children received several nominations across subjects:

Jessica won the award for PSHE, covering important topics like criminal justice, citizenship, and racism.

Ava was nominated for Music.

Anya received nominations for Drama, Maths, and Textiles, and Max for History.

Tompkin also received a subject nomination and special recognition for earning a bronze award in the UKMT Junior Mathematical Challenge, alongside Jessica.

We are especially thrilled to announce that Anya won the Alexandra Simpson Award for “Extraordinary Personal Progress.” Anya is also active in the drama group, choir, Environmental Club, and continues her involvement with the City Hall Eco group.

Even students who weren’t nominated have been doing brilliantly, and it’s wonderful to see such strong representation from our small group.

We at, Seaburn Dene, couldn’t be prouder of such an outstanding group of young people.
