We were delighted to welcome the Lord Lieutenant, Lucy Winskell OBE, to Seaburn Dene as part of a special visit with Schoolreaders — the charity that places volunteers into primary schools to listen to children read and help build confidence and fluency.
We’re incredibly proud that Seaburn Dene is the most successful Schoolreaders school in the North East for volunteer engagement. This is down to the amazing commitment of our volunteers and the warm, welcoming community they’re part of. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the visit, and to our brilliant volunteers who make such a difference to our children every week.
