Football Boots Wanted
If you or your child have old, but useable football boots that they don't want - we are collecting for junior boys and girls' football players in the West African country of Liberia.
We are setting up a point, just inside the main school gates on Torver Crescent (where YRs 2-6 come in) and you can drop off from 10am-2.30pm. You can pop the boots through the gate into the box on your daily walk.
The boots (and we welcome donations of good condition kit too) will go to the Onside Football and Peace Network, which runs four grassroots teams for children aged 7-14, to educate and support - particularly girls - through access to organised sport.
There is a short turnaround with the boots being collected on WED.
Liberia is one of the poorest countries in the world and any donations would help enormously.
