Another Trophy for our Cabinet.
Congratulations to the Year 5 rugby team. Yesterday (Tuesday) the team paraded across the field to return the championship trophy, won last year by the current Year 6. Three other teams were in the tournament: Fulwell Juniors, Redby and Dame Dorothy. There was a lovely atmosphere, with sports leaders from Monkwearmouth taking the lead, refereeing and acting as line officials. All teams played with vigour and enjoyment yet the Seaburn Dene team won every match. With head coach and rugby aficionado Mr Howe giving half time and between games coaching tips, the Year 5 team played with athleticism and confidence to return the trophy back to our Sports trophy shelves.
