This event will take place between 8:45am and 3:20pm on 05/10/2026 until 08/10/2026
From Monday 5 to Friday 9 October 2026, our school will be taking part in the UK’s national Cycle to School Week, organised by Bikeability. Throughout the week, children and families are encouraged to ride, roll or scoot to school - swapping the car for a healthier, greener start to the day.
Active travel - Cycling, scooting or rolling helps children arrive energised and ready to learn.
Saving money - Even a few car‑free days can reduce fuel costs.
Reducing congestion - Fewer cars at the school gates means a calmer, safer drop‑off for everyone.
Boosting wellbeing - A short ride in the morning supports positive mood and focus.
Make a simple pledge to cycle, scoot or roll at least once during the week.
Plan a safe route together and practise over the weekend.
Share your child’s active‑travel moments with us - we love celebrating their efforts.
Cycle to School Week is backed by NatWest Rooster Money, Batch Bicycles, and Squish, helping schools across the UK promote safe, confident cycling.
We’re excited to see our pupils embracing active travel and enjoying the independence, confidence and fun that comes with it. Whether it’s a bike, scooter or balance bike, every journey counts.
Let’s make it a fantastic week of movement, fresh air and community spirit.
